Women’s Basketball Players Earn Regional Honors

(Herkimer, NY— March 1, 2010) Two Herkimer County Community College women’s basketball players recently were named to the All Region III team.

Samantha Fox (Cooperstown, NY) was named second team All Region. She is a 6’3” center who leads the team in scoring (13.4 ppg) and is in the top three nationally in blocked shots (3.7 pg). Fox is a senior Childhood Education major.

Courtney Terzi (Little Falls, NY), a 6’2” post player, was also named second team All Region. She leads the team in rebounding (11.9 pg), field goal percentage (53%) and free throw percentage (69%). Terzi is a senior General Studies major.

The Herkimer Generals women’s team finished the 2010 season with a 19-11 record overall.

Herkimer, NY— The Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees Finance, Facilities and Audit Committee will meet on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 5:00 pm in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 295. A special meeting of the Board of Trustees will follow beginning at 6:30 pm in room 295.
