Slam Poetry Event at HCCC

Herkimer, NY—Herkimer County Community College will host the Intangibles for a Slam Poetry event, featuring the SUNY Oneonta and SUNY New Paltz slam teams, on Thursday, November 5 at 8 p.m. in Alumni Hall, located in the Robert McLaughlin College Center.

Prior to the main event, there will be open mic time beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Original works of poetry will be read and judged by audience members. The work is to be judged as much on the manner and enthusiasm of delivery as on content and style. For information on the Intangibles, see their website www.intangiblecollective.com.

The event is open to the public free of charge.

Herkimer, NY— The Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees Finance, Facilities and Audit Committee will meet on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 5:00 pm in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 295. A special meeting of the Board of Trustees will follow beginning at 6:30 pm in room 295.
