Herkimer, NY—Herkimer County Community College is hosting a book reading by local author Laurel Saville of Little Falls this Thursday, April 15 at 12:30 p.m. in the Alumni Hall of the Robert McLaughlin College Center. Saville will be reading from her memoir, Postmortem, signing books and answering questions.

Postmortem unravels the twin trajectories of Saville’s mother’s life, from a 1950’s glamour girl to an alcoholic street person, stabbed and strangled in a burned-out building in West Hollywood.

The event is free and open to the public. Books are available for purchase from Gansevoort House Books at the Stone Mill and Shops at 25 West, Canal Place in Little Falls, and all the usual online outlets. For more information about the author, visit www.laurelsaville.com.
