Herkimer County Staff Named Team of the Year by Upstate Cerebral Palsy

June 21, 2010 (Utica, NY) – The Herkimer County Leadership and Support Team was recognized as the Team of the Year by Upstate Cerebral Palsy. Elizabeth Pritchard of Little Falls, Jean Foti of Herkimer, and Kelli Morton of Herkimer, were honored with this distinction at the Upstate Cerebral Palsy Annual Meeting on May 23 at the Radisson Hotel-Utica Centre.

The Team of the Year Award honors a group within the agency that functions effectively to serve children and adults with differing abilities while exemplifying excellence, passion, integrity, caring and respect. The Herkimer County Leadership and Support Team goes above and beyond the call of duty each day, demonstrating their dedication to the agency through their drive and hard work. Through team work, individuals from Herkimer County are assisted in living more independent lives.

Pritchard, director of community services, Foti, supportive housing manager, and Morton, case manager, acted professionally and expended a great deal of effort to help the agency when most needed. They took time out of their busy work schedules to achieve this and always had a helpful, can-do attitude. All are assets both to the agency, to its individuals, and to the community.

Upstate Cerebral Palsy celebrated its Annual Meeting on May 23, exactly 60 years from its date of incorporation in 1950. Staff, individuals, and past and present members of the board of directions gathered together to celebrate the agency’s accomplishments throughout those years. Congratulates to the Herkimer County Leadership and Support Team, on behalf of the Upstate Cerebral Palsy family.
