HCCC Women’s Soccer Honored by Mountain Valley Conference

Herkimer, NY—The Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference recently announced their 2009 All Conference awards.

Herkimer County Community College women’s soccer coach Amy Dommer of Herkimer was named Coach of the Year. Maria Scerra, a sophomore striker from Saratoga, was named Player of the Year.

Four players were named to the Mountain Valley All Conference Team. Freshman Ashley Tracy, a midfielder from Cobleskill, Melissa McGough, a freshman defender from Remsen, and sophomore Amber Swanston, a goalie from Burke, join Scerra as members of the 2009 All Conference Team.

The team is 15-4 overall and 5-1 in the Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference. Their next game will be played in the regional quarterfinals on Tuesday, October 27 beginning at 4 pm at Wehrum Stadium.

Herkimer, NY— The Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees Finance, Facilities and Audit Committee will meet on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 5:00 pm in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 295. A special meeting of the Board of Trustees will follow beginning at 6:30 pm in room 295.
