HCCC to Host Junior & Senior High School Science Fair

Herkimer, NY—Herkimer County Community College will host a science fair, sponsored by Prevalere Life Sciences, Inc., for Herkimer County students in grades 7-12 on Saturday, February 6, 2010. The purpose of the science fair is to encourage students’ interest in science and engineering, provide students with a learning experience and to recognize talented students of Herkimer County. Winners will be eligible to attend the Regional Science Fair in Syracuse on March 20 and 21, 2010.

To be eligible, students must attend a public or private school or be homeschooled in Herkimer County and be sponsored by a science teacher from their school.

The application is available at www.herkimer.edu/sciencefair. Completed applications should be mailed to HCCC Science Fair, 100 Reservoir Road, Herkimer, NY 13350. The application must be postmarked by January 17, 2010 in order to be considered.

HCCC Board of Trustees to Meet

Herkimer, NY— The Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees Finance, Facilities and Audit Committee will meet on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 5:00 pm in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 295. A special meeting of the Board of Trustees will follow beginning at 6:30 pm in room 295.
