Fraudulent Insurance Claim results in Arrest of Poland Woman

(Herkimer, NY – April 22, 2010) – State Police BCI in East Herkimer arrested, 33 year-old, Christine D. Sypolt of 51 Millington Ave. Poland, NY for Insurance Fraud in the Third Degree (D Felony), Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree (E Felony), and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree (D Felony) based on an investigation by NY State Insurance Fraud Inv. Thomas Hurley and the State Police BCI that determined that Sypolt made a fraudulent insurance claim regarding an accident that never in fact occurred then forged medical records to support the fraudulent claim.

Sypolt was arraigned before Town of Herkimer Justice Karl Manne, where she was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to reappear for further court action.
