Business Competition to be announced at Economic Development Event

(Herkimer, NY) Herkimer County Community College; John Piseck, Herkimer County Legislator and Chairman of the Herkimer IDA; and the Central Upstate Regional Alliance are sponsoring an economic development event on Tuesday, December 15 at 10 a.m. in HCCC’s Hummel Corporate and Professional Education Center. The event includes a discussion on Herkimer County’s role in regional economic development and the announcement of a business competition. The competition includes three categories: Emerging Business, Innovations in Agribusiness and Student Business Idea.

The categories carry grand prize awards of $200,000, $15,000 and $5,000 respectively.

More information about the competition and how to enter will be announced at Tuesday’s event.

Herkimer, NY— The Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees Finance, Facilities and Audit Committee will meet on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 5:00 pm in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 295. A special meeting of the Board of Trustees will follow beginning at 6:30 pm in room 295.
