Arts and Crafts Days Proclaimed in Herkimer County

(Herkimer, NY) In recognition and support of the Herkimer County Arts and Crafts Fair at Herkimer County Community College, the weekend of November 14-15 has been proclaimed as “HCCC Arts and Crafts Days” throughout Herkimer County.

Pictured is Mr. Raymond Smith, chairman of the Herkimer County Legislature, presenting a proclamation to HCCC Professor Emeritus Jean Stapleton who is the chairperson of the 33rd Herkimer County Arts and Crafts Fair. The presentation took place in the Legislative Chambers on Friday, November 6. The proclamation states, “the fair is one of the best in the State of New York and the work of contemporary and traditional artisans and craft persons is recognized as a very important asset to the County of Herkimer both in artistry and economically.”

Sponsored by the Herkimer County College Foundation, the fair will take place from 10-5 Saturday and 10-4 Sunday. Admission is a $4 donation, and children under 5 are free. Parking is free, and food service is available.

Proceeds benefit student scholarships at HCCC.

Herkimer, NY— The Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees Finance, Facilities and Audit Committee will meet on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 5:00 pm in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 295. A special meeting of the Board of Trustees will follow beginning at 6:30 pm in room 295.
