United Way 2009 Campaign Finale a Community Celebration

(Utica, NY) United Way will celebrate the conclusion of the 2009 campaign Wednesday, January 20, in the lobby of M & T Bank at 233 Genesee Street.

“This is truly a community effort and everyone is invited and welcome to celebrate what we have all accomplished,” said 2009 Campaign Chair, John H. Hobika, Jr. “Throughout the campaign I have been deeply touched by how our friends and neighbors from across both Oneida and Herkimer counties do whatever it takes to help those in need.”

The finale will include music by Monk Rowe, great food, recognition, plenty of appreciation and a special performance by Danceworks. “The campaign is truly a volunteer effort, it takes hundreds of people who sacrifice by giving their, time, talent and resources to make life a little better for someone else,” Hobika concluded.

The event is open to the public. Attendees need to enter the bank from the parking lot behind the building. The event begins at 5:00 and tickets are $15. Call 733-4691 for information and reservations.
