Two Tractor Trailers Collide on New York State Thruway

(Feb. 10, 2010) On Tuesday Feb. 9 at approximately 9:34 p.m. a personal injury truck accident occurred on the New York State Thruway in Herkimer County, Town of Schuyler.
Gerald J. Miller, age 53, of Lockport, NY was operating a 2004 International tractor hauling two trailers, which became disabled during dry road conditions in the east bound driving lane at mile post marker 227.8. His vehicle was subsequently struck by a 2009 Penske tractor hauling one trailer, which was occupied by the driver Ronald S. Schuck, age 38, of Hollow Rock, TN and passenger Acue Wicks Jr., age 46.

Both east bound lanes were blocked for approximately 40 minutes and all lanes were opened at approximately 8:21 a.m. this morning.

Miller was not injured however Schuck and Wicks were transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for non life threatening injuries.

State Police are continuing their investigation.
