(Herkimer, NY – March 16, 2010) - On March 12, 2010, State Police BCI in Herkimer and SP Remsen Trooper Kurish arrested 21 year-old, JUSTIN J. POSTOL of 492 Pardeeville Ohio Rd. Cold Brook, NY and 16 year-old, GINO R. ERB JR. of 3701 ST-8 Cold Brook, NY for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree (Class D. Felony) after they were found to possess a stolen 2004 Arctic Cat Snowmobile valued at $3500.00 in the Town of Ohio, Herkimer County, NY.
The investigation revealed that the two defendants stole the snowmobile on 02/23/10 from a yard in Boonville, NY then took it to a residence in the Town of Ohio where it was ridden and kept there for approximately two weeks.
The stolen snowmobile was recovered by State Police on 03/11/10 and the two defendants were arrested on 03/12/10.
Both were arraigned in the Town of Newport Court before Town Justice Harris and are scheduled to reappear in the Town of Ohio Court at a later date.
