Remsen man charged with stealing $43,000 in worker’s compensation benefits thumbnail

(Remsen, NY – Feb. 12, 2010) State Troopers in Poland and the BCI in Herkimer along with Investigators from the Worker’s Compensation Board Office of the Fraud Inspector General arrested Dennis J. Clark Sr., 50, of 838 Wheelertown Road in Remsen, Herkimer County Town of Russia for third-degree Insurance Fraud, a class E felony, first-degree Falsifying Business Records, a class D felony and Fraudulent Practices of the Workers Compensation Law, a class E felony.

The arrest came after an investigation that revealed Clark obtained in excess of $43,000 in worker’s compensation benefits over several years while he owned and operated a garbage collection business known as Flinstone Construction and Sanitation Removal in the Town of Russia.

Clark was arraigned in the Town of Russia Court and is scheduled to reappear in that court at a later date for further court action.
