Police Seek Help with Fatal Hit and Run

The NY State Police Troop T and Troop D are investigating a Hit and Run Motor Vehicle accident which occurred at approximately 4:30am this morning on I90 westbound in the Town German Flats, Herkimer County.

The female victim, Jamie B. Klemczak, 21, of Albany, had been involved in a minor one-car accident eastbound on I-90 and had exited her vehicle. Klemczak then attempted to cross the westbound lanes and was struck by a passing vehicle.

The investigation has determined that the vehicle was possibly a silver Toyota unknown model. The vehicle should have front end, driver side damage. Any one with information regarding this accident should contact Inv. Frank Spatto at SP Herkimer (315) 866-7111. The investigation is continuing.
